Jean Haluska is an artist and educator who lives and works in New York City. She creates immersive environments that fuse sound, video, sculpture, performance and installation. She presented a paper at a professional philosophy conference; this theory is inseparable from her art and it animates her person. Jean completed her MFA at Ohio State University where she taught for 4 years. Since then she started the education program at 3rd Ward (a gorgeous facility that is a workspace, exhibition space, and education center for emerging and established artists in Brooklyn) and has continued to develop her teaching skills. She recently performed with Share at MOMA/ PS1's Sunday Sessions. She can finally announce world travel adding extended tours of Uganda, Ecuador, Thailand and Europe to an 11,000 mile road trip circumnavigating the United States; Turkey is on the itinerary for this summer. Come visit her studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
