Jean Haluska is a multimedia artist from New York who creates immersive audio, video, and sculptural installations that incorporate movement and performance. She has extensive experience in more tradtional forms of art, recently finishing a body of work in drawing and painting. Her undergraduate degrees are in painting, printmaking, and philosophy. She presented a paper at a professional philosophy conference in Chicago in 1998. This theory is inseparable from her art and it animates her person. Jean received full funding to complete her MFA in Art and Technology at the Ohio State University, where she taught for 4 years. She is incredibly passionate about teaching. It is her calling, second only to the continued creation of her work. Jean started the is the education program at 3rd Ward, a gorgeous facility that is a workspace, exhibition space, and education center for emerging and established artists.  Travel is an important part of Jean's life. She's taken 2-7 month trips through Europe, Ecuador, Thailand, and the continental United States.
